Welcome to the website of Kurongkurl Katitjin, Edith Cowan University’s Centre for Indigenous Australian Education and Research.
The Centre's mission is to "provide excellence in teaching, learning and research in a culturally inclusive environment that values the diversity of Indigenous Australian history and cultural heritage"
Kurongkurl Katitjin, pronounced koor-ong-kurl cut-it-chin, is a Noongar phrase meaning ‘coming together to learn’.
Whilst the Centre is based at ECU’s Mount Lawley campus, it supports students from ECU’s Joondalup and South-West campus' and through our Regional Centre in Geraldton.
